As a member of the Babson Executive Education program team, Carlen Adler is responsible for the planning and execution of corporate and open enrollment programs delivered on campus and worldwide. She enjoys working with faculty, clients, and program participants to ensure that programs run smoothly, and is known by her colleagues for her ability to juggle multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure. Prior to joining BEE, she worked at Brown University’s Office of Biomedical Advancement for six years, where she organized the logistical planning and program coordination for 50 to 80 on-campus and regional events annually. She earned her BA in theatre/communication arts from Allegheny College, and is working on her MBA here at Babson.
Managing Director, Asia Pacific
John Chen is the managing director, Asia Pacific, Babson Executive Education. John joined Babson in 2011 as the special assistant to the president and vice president of Babson Global. Prior to that, he was the executive director and general manager of Harvard China Fund (HCF), Harvard University, and a managing director, international at Harvard Business School Publishing. John established the Harvard Center Shanghai and served as its founding general manager, and launched the largest student internship program in the United States called Harvard China Student Internship Program. At HBS and Babson during 2004-2019, John worked with faculties in launching the series of faculty development programs called PCMPCL, TETA, SEE Asia and ELI - Faculty Growth Program for Asia.
Sasha Connors joined Babson Executive Education in February 2019. As a program manager, she is responsible for handling the logistics of BEE’s custom and open enrollment programs and ensuring that no detail is left untouched. Prior to joining BEE, Sasha was the director of operations and event planner for George Mason University’s Law & Economics Center, as well as a sales and catering manager in the hotel industry. Sasha earned her BS degrees in business administration and hospitality administration from Boston University and her MBA from George Mason University. She also holds the designation of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). When she is not on campus, Sasha enjoys spending time with her pug (Olive), watching baseball, trying new restaurants, and traveling.
Senior Director, Business Development
As senior director, Rachel Crane is responsible for working with client organizations to identify new opportunities and develop custom programs and solutions for Babson Executive Education. In this client engagement role, she is responsible for the overall client relationship and organizational partnership. Through these relationships, she leverages Babson resources to identify the custom solution(s), faculty, and partners for various client needs. Prior to joining Babson Executive Education, Rachel was responsible for the development of enterprise solutions at a talent development and training company. She has worked in management and IT consulting organizations in a variety of roles including business development, consulting, and client relationship management. She earned her BA in management from Gettysburg College.
Associate Director, Program Operations
As a key member of the Operations team, Janet Dewsnap’s role includes the oversight of business processes and leveraging software and technology to optimize and streamline the business, and improve efficiency, productivity, and data integrity. She also supports the program delivery team and manages world-class executive and educator programs, collaborating with our diverse and dynamic global clients in Asia, Europe, and South America/Latin America. Prior to joining Babson, she gained valuable experience with a startup, honing skills in operations, strategy, client relations, marketing, and entrepreneurship. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in Canada, and speaks conversational Cantonese.
Amari Dias is a program coordinator and works alongside program managers to ensure the implementation and success of Babson Executive Education programs. Prior to joining BEE, she was an admissions ambassador at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and assisted with planning events to welcome prospective students. She earned her BS degree in management information systems from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. When not on campus, she enjoys dancing and designing clothes.
Liz enjoys working in a team dedicated to providing a dynamic learning experience of Babson’s entrepreneurial vision for business professionals from around the world. Prior to joining BEE, she worked for many years in university administration and most recently created customized English instruction for global executives in finance, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and logistics. When not at BEE, Liz runs a private education counseling practice, teaches English to refugees and recent immigrants, volunteers with service organizations in her community and enjoys family life with her husband, 4 daughters and many pets. Liz holds a BA from Wellesley College and her EdM from Harvard University.
Senior Director, Business Development
As senior director, Evelyn Lager MBA’06 is responsible for developing custom solutions for Babson Executive Education’s corporate clients. As such, she works closely with corporate partners to identify the needs of the organization and build a Babson team to develop highly customized solutions. She has more than 10 years of experience in program design and account management. She was born and raised in Switzerland, and, before joining Babson, was a founding member of the Swissnex Science and Educational Consulate of Switzerland. She has developed and implemented strategic activities and relations for entrepreneurs, scientists, academics, and business professionals. She is fluent in English, German, and French, and earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Boston College and her MBA from Babson College.
Assistant Manager, Business Development
Dayle Lipsky’s efforts often serve as a gateway for people within the business community who seek the type of high-quality leadership development services for which Babson is known. By supporting Open Enrollment programs and generating leads for the Business Development team, she plays an important role in introducing customers to programming that provides a meaningful return on their investment. With more than 19 years of experience within the hospitality industry, she is accustomed to putting clients first. No stranger to Babson, for 11 years she built customer relationships for the company that managed the Babson Executive Conference Center.
Director, Business Development
Gisela Lokpez brings her unique and extensive experience as a financial professional and woman entrepreneur to Babson Executive Education. She has not only worked in the banking, finance, and energy services industries, but also founded her own boutique-consulting firm that focused on the Ibero-American market. She has international exposure as a strategist in corporate and family business financial projects for growth, M&A, and wealth management, as well as international negotiations. She works with a broad range of clients to design and develop programs that support the development of leaders at all levels of the organization.
Senior Director, Business Development
Cathy Shea is responsible for identifying new opportunities and resources for residential, global, and virtual program delivery. She represents BEE in a wide variety of client relationships and also works closely with the team and the college to identify faculty resources for expanded program offerings and development support for faculty. She has nearly 25 years of experience in university-based executive education serving in a number of roles including marketing, business development, and operations for both open enrollment and custom programs. Prior to joining university administration, she served as an aide to a U.S. congressman from Connecticut. She earned her BA in political science and history from Boston College.
As a part of the Babson Executive Education program team, Paul is excited about the diversity of programs Babson College has to provide in Executive Education. He has worked on educational and social programs ranging from 20 to over 400 participants. When delivering and managing a program, Paul always strives to get to know his participants. He enjoys meeting and exploring many different cultures and looks forward to understanding cultural differences and similarities. Prior to joining BEE, he worked at Harvard Business Publishing for nearly 10 years, working on international and domestic programs on the Harvard Business School campus. His internship was with Walt Disney World Productions in Orlando, Florida, and he earned his BA in English literature from Rutgers University.
Rachel White joined Babson Executive Education in August 2019. Previously, she worked as a counselor in the Business and Financial Department at Clark University. She earned her BA in psychology from Framingham State University, and her master’s degree in public administration from Clark University. In her transition from Clark to Babson, she is advancing her academic portfolio in pursuing her MBA at Babson. With her professional passions existing as a partnership between the fields of business and psychology, she plans on enrolling in a doctoral program in industrial psychology.
